Skywatch Friday No. 45

This is what the sky looked like a few nights ago on my drive home. It's a little hard to tell in these pictures, but the bottoms of the clouds were almost perfectly flat and really dark. It was absoutely breathtaking in real life. Sometimes it's hard to really capture the true beauty in a photograph. I think you can get an idea of it in these pics, though.

This is what the sky looked like as I got a little closer to home. It was pretty ominous looking and I was sure we were going to get thunder, but we didn't much to my disappointment!

Be sure to check out Skywatch Friday for more great sky pictures from all over the world. Happy Friday!

  2. I can't tell you how many times I've marveled at the sky, taken a photo, and had it not quite capture the 'wow'.

  6. They are so beautiful, yet so scary!
The weather has been so strange! One day rain, the next sun. I am still waiting for summer! I am very impatient, aren't I?

  7. Wow! Such dramatic skies. I like the way the pink, blue and green contrasts together, too.
