Skywatch Friday No. 44

I took these pics a few weeks ago and almost forgot all about them!
I just can't get enough of photographing sunsets...I probably need to branch out a little, but I might have a hard time with that!

I actually really like the power lines in this one. Some may think that power lines in a shot are ugly, but to me it's quintessential "kuntry". I used to ride horses along the power lines with my friends growing up and a picture like this always brings back those happy memories. :)

Happy Friday and I hope everyone enjoys the weekend ahead!

  5. Beautiful pics, I had power lines in some of my sunrise pics from this week, but they were the ones to our house so I moved a bit closer to the road and took a couple pics. I totally understand! And it is wonderful that you have memories like that. Have a great weekend!

  6. Beautiful pictures - thanks for sharing them!!
Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. And, in answer to your question about the boysenberry plants. I got some starts from a local grower, and then last weekend some more at a local plant sale. You're right about the BB syrup - delicious!! The best thing I remember though was my momma's BB cobbler - to die for!!!

  8. Nice shots of the sun hiding behind clouds and trees. Your comment about the power lines made me think. I took a look at recent photos I took of the community where my children grew up, no power lines in any of them. This inspite of the fact we lived at a power plant. I guess I need to to back and do it right. Power lines were a major part of our environment.

  9. Nice sunsets, and your powerlines are not at all obtrusive.
