Sooo...have y'all noticed? That crisp little chill in the air? The way the sun is sitting a little lower in the sky? The unmistakable golden haze as it's setting? Yep, Autumn is definitely knockin' on our door! I know that technically we still have a few more weeks of summer. And I'm certain there will be many more beautiful days to come. But it's only a matter of time before we have to bid summer adieu...and as for me and the weimies...we're making the most of it while we've still got it!
We've been spending lots and lots of time outside, going for our daily walks, picking berries, playing in the garden...just soakin' it up!
One of their favorite things to do outside is play in the tall grass. And this is one of my favorite things to let them do. I don't often let them run off-leash because we don't have all of our fencing up yet, but this is the one area where they will actually stay put (relatively speaking). I still keep a watch on them, but rather than run like crazy, they're usually content to chase things around and use their little sniffers.
One of my greatest joys is watching them "be dogs" with smiles on their faces. :)
Fall is coming already?!? Not here yet, we still have temps in the 90s.
ReplyDeleteI took my dog out to the barn with me tonight, and enjoyed watching him sniff around. He was so good about not going in any of the paddocks or stalls he just followed me around with his nose to the ground.
They look like they were having a blast! My Aussie's love the tall grass too. They come out with grass seed all over them!! I bet there is a lot to sniff in the tall grass, like mice, bunnies, snakes, grasshoppers, etc.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe summer is almost over :( I just hope it doesn't rain all winter long! I'd love to have a drier than normal winter!
It is great when you see your dogs do what they do, it is like they are smiling and they always look happy when they are set free :-)
ReplyDeleteAwww! Happy puppies! Love it! Great pics!
